Just back from my favorite 97’s show in recent history. I had a feeling that venue would suit them well and I was right. So thankful I didn’t just stay home and go to bed.

Also thankful for a lazy Saturday with music and some books and a bit of cleaning house and conversations with a couple of good friends. One was via text and involved Mamas and things that are spectacular and I will giggle about it for a long time.

The other was a good old fashioned phone call from a friend who recently moved back to Texas after a stretch in Cali. It started out with catching up, moved on to music and family and then led to a long discussion on tattoos (She still can’t believe that after all these years, I”m the one who doesn’t have one…I pointed out that I can’t even settle on a color to paint the walls in my house) and concluded with agreement to look for plane tickets in both directions.

Speaking of plane tickets, I may have company coming out my ears this spring, which makes me VERY happy because I do love to have a full house. One confirmed (yeah, B!), 2 that are looking promising (Jholla, inthepresentense), and 1 that just started looking (phone call number 2 from today) .

So, who else wants to come visit? I’m ready because I’m gonna suck all the life I can out of this town before I have to leave and I’d love to have company to do it.
