At MCI. Looking for a spot to give the Kindle a quick charge before the flight. In this entire 5-gate area, I was only able to locate 3 outlets — all of them currently being used, none of them anywhere close to being conveniently located. I was pretty sure that in the year 2012, power outlets were pretty standard equipment at airport gates.

In better news, it appears that they may have abandoned their use of the porno scanner. Or maybe I’ve just been lucky enough to make it through checkpoints where they aren’t in use for my last 3 trips.

Super easy security experience this morning.
